Committed to telling a story through sound.

Christa Giammattei is a freelance post production audio engineer based on the east coast, US. She graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Music Industry Studies, minor in General Business, and was a member of the classical percussion studio during her time there.

After working in a variety of sound disciplines including live sound, post production, and music retail, Christa set out as a freelancer in audio post at the age of 24. Since then, she has worked with notable brands and companies such as IBM, HBO, VW Volkswagen, and Epic Games.

In addition to her full time freelance job, Christa founded Command + S Apparel, a brand featuring clothing inspired by audio engineering and sound. She has been featured on SoundGirls, Krotos, and on the Signal To Noise Podcast, and frequently contributes as a member and guest speaker at conventions and events dedicated to teaching minorities in audio. She also hosts a weekly recap episode called Audio Industry News, discussing the latest events in the sound world. You can catch the newest episode on Instagram!

Christa draws inspiration from her favorite video games and TV shows, which are what originally pushed her to seek out music and sound as a career. Her mission is always to help create and develop those stories through sound.
